What is Vision Correction?
Clear vision is a fundamental need for all of us. SUPROL, over the last 50 years, has made it its mission to create the widest range of products that are designed to help you see better.
For over 50% of us, our eyes form a slightly blurred image of what we see. The brain can’t comprehend these images accurately, and this leads to blurred or unclear vision. This is easily corrected by placing vision correction lenses before the eyes.
Need for Vision Correction in India
The ability to see clearly has been linked directly to enhanced productivity, improved learning, and a less fatigued brain. Moreover, uncorrected refractive errors are a leading cause of avoidable blindness in India. We have seen a lot of improvements in optics, lens manufacturing methods, as well as the materials used to make eyeglass lenses. Consequently, we are able to cater to a wide variety of visual defects by using the correct lenses. Your optician can talk about these in detail, but the most common visual defects are:
- Myopia
- Hypermetropia
- Astigmatism
- Presbyopia
As SUPROL, we have lenses that address all of the above visual ailments.
Single Vision Lenses
- These lenses correct either myopia and astigmatism, or hypermetropia with astigmatism
- These are the most commonly prescribed spectacle lenses
Bifocals and Trifocals
- These lenses can correct both hypermetropia and myopia, and ant associated astigmatism, using just one lens
- These lenses contain two specific zones, one meant for objects at a distance of 1 meter or more, and another meant for objects closer than that
Progressive Lenses
- Progressive lenses correct both hypermetropia and myopia, and any associated astigmatism using just one lens
- These lenses contain multiple viewing zones, and offer unparalleled clarity of vision, regardless of what you are seeing – up close, in the middle, or as far away as the moon
