Aqua coating is a proprietary coating made only for SUPROL lenses. It offers excellent scratch resistance, and is very accommodating of the stresses that AR coating application can put on the lens.
Aqua coating acts as a great buffer for your lens, and minimizes the inevitable scratches arising out of daily use from penetrating the lens surface. By doing this, Aqua coating also improves the lens of the lens. This becomes even more important in high value materials, as they are usually the softest materials, most prone to scratching and daily wear and tear.
